Hey there! My name is Brian and I'm the creator of this site. This website is dedicated to helping people understand exactly what they're paying for. Sprint has recently released a new tier of phones that can now be used on their 4G network. Their CEO (Dan Hesse) has stated that 4G will be provided for free, but these phones will now require a required add-on called "Premium Data".
This site is devoted to getting 1 question asked: "What is Premium Data?"
I created this website after emailing Sprint several times and getting lackluster replies. I also spoke with representatives on the phone several times and seemed to only receive the same canned responses. I think that in these times, a consumer should know exactly what they're being charged for.
I am not demanding that the fee must be removed, I am just simply asking for a definition of the fee in terms that a normal person could understand.
There are a lot of misconceptions floating around the internet regarding this charge, so my goal is to clear up everyone's questions. If you have anything you want to ask me, please feel free to email me at explainthefee@gmail.com!
