Data Throttling? [Updated]

I'm getting tons of emails regarding Engadget's article regarding Sprint's possibility of throttling.

[via engadget]

Let's not jump to conclusions.  We don't see the whole playbook and Sprint hasn't said anything about this yet.  Let's see what the official word is first!  I'm sure they'll explain it, let's just give it time.

Engadget Update:

"We're hearing from a couple sources that the shot here from The Playbook is a little out of context, and actually refers to a new feature for businesses looking to restrict disproportionately high usage by employees with company data cards. That sounds a little less painful, does it not? Thanks, everyone!"

So, there we go!  Let's just continue focusing on the "Premium Data" fee for now!

If it is true, Sprint is really screwing things up here. And its very bad timing! I thought the Evo was supposed to be the saving grace for them? So if this is true, your paying an extra $10 for "enhanced features" that you won't even be able to utilize? What?

    Lets wait and see...

Don't believe Sprint's explanation for one second that this is a "feature" for customers. They are in damage control mode right now.

Hopefully the outcry about this convinces them NOT to throttle after all.

Yea they will explain it just like they did the $10 fee.

Have you locked down on "ExplainTheThrottle.com" yet, or has Sprint beaten you to it? :)
